Founders George Beckelhymer, John Beckelhymer and Robert Simpson have over 50 years of combined professional pawnshop experience amongst them. Mr. George Beckelhymer previously served as a Laredo Independent School District School Board Trustee and President, as well as Chairman of the Citizen’s Environmental Advisory Committee; Mr. Robert Simpson currently serves as Vice Chair for the Laredo Housing Authority and is on the Legislative Committee for the Texas Association of Pawnbrokers and previously served as Board Chairman of the Laredo Public Library Board; and Mr. John Beckelhymer, San Antonio-based business owner, previously served as Webb County Elections Administrator and was formerly President of the Laredo Bucks Hockey Team. Chief Operating Officer Joe Arciniega, who joined the partnership in 2005 to drive strategic growth and corporate development, is a former Microsoft Corporation executive, who also served in senior management positions for Atari Inc. and Zale Corporation, adding another 25 years’ experience in business management, marketing, and operations to the team. He is on the Board of Directors for Laredo Area Community Foundation, a volunteer for the Laredo Boys and Girls Club, and was Co-founder and Artistic Director for Laredo Theater Guild International and on the Board of Directors of the Laredo Philharmonic Orchestra.
